Good evening everyone,
fingerprint:
I am developing an application that involves the use of the HackRF sink block. Everything works except for the use of the + 10dB amplifier output.
According to the documentation the parameter (bool) AmpON in RF options if set to True should amplify the output signal by (about) 10 dB. But this is not the case... I have tried different values (True | 1 | 15 ) but the level still remains the same.
Replacing this block with the equivalent Osmocom Sink ( and trying by trial and error to find the correct values to enter... the documentation for such a device is sparse/obscure ) instead I can get the desired gain.
Also, in Soapy, the Bandwidth parameter (0= automatic) has an incorrect behavior: I am using an "offset tuning" solution to reduce the impact of "LO leakage" and if I set this parameter to 0 the filter is too narrow, such that the generated signal is significantly reduced; by manually setting the necessary value everything is fine.
At this point I think it is a bug in the Soapy implementation....
Is anyone able to confirm/deny such behavior?
Thank you for your attention,
