DPDK with GNU Radio?

Hello all

I finally got DPDK working this week and am excited to keep the momentum going. From the AN on ettus' site it sounds like gnuradio can utilize DPDK, however I'm running into issues with the fact DPDK must be used as root, but consensus online seems to be GNU Radio flowcharts/python code shouldn't be run as root. Does anyone have experience combining these two forces together?

UHD 4.0
GNURadio 3.10
DPDK 18.11
2 x310's w/ UBX160 connected via single mode fiber to host PC
