not a great programmer here, but seems that the target machine is the problem.
IMO two possibilities, I see you are on a WIndows machine:
- firewall issues ( on the target AND/OR on the source machine)
- wrong settings in the sockets ( port mismatch ?)
In my experience the XMLRPC scenario it's simple and well documented, but not so 'responsive'. Switching to ZMQ socket ( in this specific case the PUSH/PULL pair seems adeguate) I found that everything works much better.
