Re: New install of GNU Radio executes old version

Hi Jim,

I did some google surfing to see what the problem was, given a missing
libuhd4.2.0. The package available for bullseye is libuhd3.15. The
package available for bookworm is libuhd4.3.0. I have read one source
that said gnuradio > 3.8 will require libuhd > 4, so we won't be able
to install libuhd from apt and build gnuradio 3.10+. (The source was
the cheat sheet I sent you.) If I am wrong, hopefully someone on the
mailing list will correct me. That said, it limits our options.

You could update to bookworm on your Pi. This would allow you to use
the v3.10.5.1 gnuradio as Volker suggested. I believe this requires a
64bit Pi. I have never updated debian on a Pi, so I don't know the
obstacles, but from my memory it was fairly easy to do on an x86.
Alternatively, you could attempt a build of libuhd 4+ on your machine.
This will consume some time as well as it is a fairly large software
package. The process is fairly easy (cmake, make, make install), but
you may run into build errors given the older software on the Pi and
newer software for the uhd. If you're planning on trying to update
