Can you provide us with a little more info here, and that we can try to replicate your issue:

* Is the OS "Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS (Bionic Beaver)" ... or something else?

* Are you trying to use the GNU Radio 3.8.0.0 release?

* How did you install GR?

* what version of Thrift is installed, and how did you install it?
