This was my thinking as well.

Yup. I could probably actually get the logo part silk-screened onto
the panel, as a 2nd stage. That would allow it to be in the envisioned
colour.

One of the nice things about engraved front panels is that the markings
never wear off, and you can actually paint-fill the canyons left by
the engraving process. Which is very durable.
