Thanks for the link Ron, that's indeed an interesting solution.

I'm still trying to understand why the matrix multiplier approach blocks though, and if there is a way to make it work, as it is so easy to implement a complete solution with multiple sources and multiple modulations and a single sink that you can switch at runtime ... maybe it blocks because of the different delays introduced by the filters on the two branches I'm trying to multiply?
