FYI, I just went on a rage-fixing spree tonight and got to a point where PyBOMBS can get me a working gnuradio installation on Fedora 22.
You may have some hiccups with SELinux along the way.

Some people are more conscious of trying to make sure it works on all platforms, but in this case, given the source build fallback option, it's pretty easy to not bother. You also need to be able to test on any of the systems you are adding support for, so sometimes, it's much safer to leave the others be and focus on what you have and know.This is very much a community effort!Tom
