[Discuss-gnuradio] why in low_pass cutoff_freq is CENTER of transition band whereas in low_pass_2 cutoff_freq is BEGINNING of transition band

The  low_pass and  low_pass_2 logic are almost the same. I can't see any different usage of cutoff_freq
in this two function. So why the parameter cutoff_freq have different meaning in this two function.
